Work with Me

While pursuing a PhD in Comparative Literature at the University of Toronto, I realized I wanted to fill my days as I had as a child: travelling and writing. (Relate this to your offering.) I have studied creative writing with Richard Bausch, Isabel Huggan, and Susan Swan, among others. I have taught creative writing at Sheridan College and academic writing at the University of Toronto, and have been a member of the Toronto Arts Council Grant to Writers’ jury.

Workshops, Presentations, and Book Clubs

I am available for creative writing workshops, presentations, and book clubs. I draw on my experience as a former instructor in the English Department at the University of Toronto, and in the Department of Continuing Studies at Sheridan College. Please contact me by email for more information.

Reading and Editorial Services

Drawing from my experience as a writing instructor (Sheridan College and University of Toronto), as a founding member of the writers’ group Meta4, and as a freelance editor, I provide reading and editorial services. Please contact me directly for more information.

My fees are informed by the Writers’ Union of Canada and the Editors’ Association of Canada standard rates. For further inquiries, please contact me directly.

I am currently looking for a graphic artist with whom to collaborate on a graphic novel about a girl karate-ka, based on my experiences as a karate student and instructor. My literary, feminist blog about karate can be found at Please contact me if interested.
